A Glimpse into Law Enforcement
There are certain occupations out there today that some people tend to take for granted until they need them. Teachers, Doctors, Lawyers and probably the most unappreciated are Police Officers.
Trey Sheets is an State Trooper for the Oklahoma State Police Department and he is every bit a lawman.
If I were a casting director, I would cast him on the spot just on his appearance and mannerisms alone. As you listen, you realize that behind the badge is someone who deeply cares for others, has a tender heart and a drive to keep others safe; a genuine protector.
We talk about…
- The 6 core values of law enforcement.
- Why being compassionate is not a sign of weakness.
- How to have courage when pulling up on a scene.
- What it’s like to constantly be in the public eye as a police officer.
- Why being in law enforcement is a lonely life.
- The types of people he has to deal with on a day to day basis.
- His most embarrassing moment on his first day on the job.
- His wife Ginger chimes in for a bit and shares what it’s like to be married to a police officer and how they make it all work despite the high divorce rate for those in law enforcement.
- And a great story of when he pulled over the famous actor, Kevin Bacon.
